Hallandale Beach is coastal city (i.e. on the ocean, a bay, or inlet) located in the Southern part of Florida. Considered a medium-sized City, Hallandale Beach boasts a general population of 39,000 people, has nine constituent neighborhoods and is the 77th largest community in Florida. Hallandale Beach is an extremely popular vacation destination because of it coastal location, proximity to Gulfstream Park, huge shopping facilities and restaurant selection. This popular city has a fair amount of its residential population being seasonal. During the Winter season, as vacationers flee the Northeast, Hallandale Beach realizes a huge rise in its population. Many northerners come to Hallandale since they own 2nd homes which they use in the Winter months. As the Winter vacation season ends, many residents return back North and Hallandale’s population goes down substantially, leaving behind a much smaller and tranquil community.
